OUTFITS

Classy + Casual Mix

It’s something about wearing a denim shirt with a cute pencil skirt that I love, its that loose, comfy feeling of not having everything so tight on your body. Mix and matching your favorite denim shirt can go a long way, its a must have piece!

All White Everything

The beach as been like my back yard this summer and honestly I can’t see myself living too far from it. Being on a boat or lounging by the ocean is so peaceful to me. I remember when I use to be so self conscious about wearing a swim suit. Its the one item I was very picky about wearing because I didn’t want to draw too much attention to my hips or my stomach. Then stretch marks..I remember when I heard Tyra Banks admit that she has stretch marks. I was always trying to hide mine and I always wore swimwear that covered them up. It was then I really began to be more comfortable in my own skin and not care about what others thought concerning my body or my style.  I’ve always been slim, but with beauty we always want what we don’t have and no matter what body type you are, make a choice to love it anyway. Staying active is key and I have this motto where I only go to the gym during the summer, its so funny to tell this die hard fitness people, because they always day, “Why only in the summer?” This winter I’m making plans to be active because I know a healthy lifestyle is the “best” lifestyle.

Fashion Must Haves for MEN

Mixing Navy with Black – Bottega Veneta

As much as I love to wear an all black outfit, I love the idea of mixing navy with black because its unexpected and it looks incredibly attractive. Most men have navy or black blazers, but try pairing a navy sweater and pants with black accessories. Give that classic navy blazer a break!

Beautiful Burgundy – Hermes

Burgundy is one of those fall colors that always shows back up on the runway and it should because it looks gorgeous with black! Just like navy, burgundy and black look awesome together. Especially for men who don’t like wearing bold colors, navy and burgundy are great color combinations. So ditch the whole idea of matching gray and black together, try something new….you deserve it!

Cool Chunky Cardigan – Dolce & Gabanna

The cardigan is a typical knit for men to wear, it never goes out of style. However, the chunky ribbed knit cardigan adds more shape and body, especially if you have a slim figure. I love how its styled with a white shirt and the bow tie really makes the whole look very appealing. Wearing a cotton shirt with a cardigan, looks sleek and attractive.

The Anti-Suit – Diesel

I know some of us have to wear a suit to work, but for those who have the privilege of wearing whatever they want, the anti-suit trend is hot! This is taking that classic black and gray color combo to another level by wearing a simple t-shirt with a blazer. The pants are slim, which is great because it looks more like a suit compared to wearing wide or baggy pants.

White Out

This summer has been so much fun, I’m so not looking forward towards the cold months ahead in NYC. One of my favorite looks in the summer is wearing all cream or white. If you’re confident enough to wear white, know that you can mix white and cream…don’t get caught it too much in matching it perfectly. Never been a fan of linen, so if you want to wear white on white, just make sure your clothes fit properly and you stay away from anything that might stain your clothing. I know I’ve been a Zara fanatic..but I’m definitely going to give them a serious break!

Cruising On the Hudson

August is my favorite month because Leo’s rock and I will be celebrating my birthday for the entire month! This past weekend I went on a mini boat cruise to have lunch and to my surprise it was also a party boat. The entertainment was on point for it to be a 2 hour cruise around the Hudson and I enjoyed watching my fellow partygoers perform the Cha Cha’ Slide and a soul train line. It was like I was at someone’s family reunion!

Dress: Anthropologie. Sandals: Baker’s. Sunglasses and bracelet: Anthropologie. Watch: Michael Kors. Earrings: Vince Camuto. Handbag: Michael Kors.

( The amazing views from the boat made me realize there’s so much to see and explore in NYC. )

Palazzo Pusha

These palazzo pants are fun (I love pretty, colorful prints) and because they are flare its a great way to cover your body without being so tight and restricted during the summer months. Wearing loose pieces will keep you a lot cooler. I’m wearing these orange wedges out, but they are so comfortable. I will switch it up very soon!

Heat Wave

I do not think there’s any place in the world like New York City.  As I walk the city streets slowly, the heat wave grabs me and I begin to think, “So this is what an outdoor sauna feels like”. Everyone is moving in slow motion, no one is rushing to get anywhere.  I walk with a smile on my face because I’ve been anxious for summer to find its way here.
