Animal Wedge

Can’t wait to wear these Jessica Simpson wedges. All of her platform heels I’ve worn are comfortable, which is important because if my feet are in major pain, I will not purchase it. Some believe being uncomfortable is a sacrifice you make for wearing fashionable pieces, but these are 5 inch heels and they’re pretty, comfortable and trendy. I managed to get everything I wanted and more…it is possible.

Reading my InStyle’s The New Secrets of Style book, it’s a good refresher to get inspiration on different ways to put a look together.

Nail Polish Color Wheel as I chose colors for my “dotty design”

Fleur: Print Jackets

  1. Paul Smith Black Label Floral jacket. Love cropped jackets and I’m feeling the floral colors with a black base, it’s beautiful.
  2. CC Animal print jacket. For those who don’t want to wear to many colors and still wear a print.
  3. H&M Blazer designed by Marni. The giant polka dots are adorable, a little modern retro vibe.
  4. Dolce & Gabana silk floral print jacket. I think this one can definitely be the “It” jacket for your spring wardrobe.

Black + White

Blazer: Express. Black shirt: a boutique in Atlanta. Jeans: American Eagle. Handbag: Michael Kors. Boots: throwback from an Atlanta trade show.

Seems like I’ve been rockin’ blazers a lot, but I have phases where I’ll just want to wear certain colors, styles and with blazers it give me a tailored vibe so maybe that is why?  My Michael Kors handbag is my favorite accessory right now. It has about five mini pockets on the inside, which is awesome for me because I love dividing items within my bag. There is a hidden large side pocket separate from the others and  you can tell from the design it’s for a women like me who carries a million things within their handbag. This is my first Michael Kors bag and it will not be my last, I love Michael Kors.

Fleur: Pretty in Pastels

Spring is basically here and I’m getting hype about wearing sandals, shorts with heels and loose tank tops!   I’m really loving the TopShop blazer, it’s calling my name. Soft hues with hints of bold pop color will be one of the ways I plan on wearing the ongoing pastel trend, without looking so washed out.

Blue

Blazer: New York & Company. Plaid Shirt: Abercrombie. Jeans: Gap. Boots: Aldo. Sunglasses: Ray Ban. Earrings: Forever 21

Blue is a color I was never really fond of, I always found myself attracted to tropical colors and rich tones. I really believe your personal style evolves and so it is good embrace change and step outside your comfort zone. I bought this blue plaid shirt because I hardly ever wear plaid or the color blue, so it was perfect. It was beautiful today in NYC, I met up with family to get some seafood and it was delicious! I’m loving the warm weather in NY because as of now it’s not to hot or too cold..just how I like it.

Blue Nail Polish: Revlon Color Stay

I cannot remember the last time I had blue nails, but I dare you to wear something that is out of your “comfort” color scheme or an accessory you have in your closet that’s been sitting there waiting for you to rock out.
