The Freakum Dress

Here’s a great guide I put together to find that perfect “IT” dress for New Year’s no matter what body type or style you have, there’s something out there that’s fabulous for you.

BACK ACTION. There’s nothing more sexier than the subtle seduction of showing of your back in a dress. The gold sequin dress is available at Nasty Gal and the burgundy dress is from Asos.com. If you don’t want to bring attention to your stomach or legs just remember your lower back is an option!

LACE IT UP! This is a classic style that you can wear at various events..dressing it up or down. I may just rock black lace for New Years. Its not too flashy and paired with the right accessories and makeup can look stunning!

GLITTERATTI. Its only for those woman who aren’t afraid of attention and glowing in the dark while they party the night away. Bronze dress is from Asos and Black Asymmetrical piece is from Nasty Gal. This dress is perfect for simple hair styles and natural makeup.

FLAUNT IT. I love the body conscious super tight dress because it shrinks your waist and makes your curves look amazing. If you don’t want to spend money on a new Herve Ledger dress you can get a look a like from French Connection for under $150.

Layer Me Sweater!

Today, I’m giving some lessons in layering sweaters! If you’re in a chilly climate, its the perfect time to layer up and give some creativity to your outfit.  First, start of with a cool looking shirt that has a print to it, this J. Crew shirt is full of pop color and was only 33 dollars! Gotta love a great sale, especially from one of my favorite brands.

I’m going to use a crew neck sweater, but you can use a v-neck as well, just make sure the color of your sweater compliment the shirt you’re wearing underneath. My mint green sweater is from H&M, it was under $25.00! This is a great bargain, so whatever budget you have, you can still achieve this look. Note, make sure you button your shirt all the way up, for a nice clean and polished look.

The tricky thing about layering is making sure the size of the garments give ample room for your layers. This cable knit sweater has texture and stretch, so you want to use good judgement. Roll up the sleeves and your good to go..but..wait..I’m not done yet!

Another Layer?? Can you ever have to many layers??

Top it all off with a slick blazer and class is dismissed. You just learned the fundamentals of Layering Sweaters 101!

Army Strong

I’m not a New Yorker but I can camouflage myself and blend right on in with a Yankee any day. Maybe its my Bronx roots but I had to buy an all black Yankee hat, being that I’m in NYC… Why not? Camoflage print is a trend making a come back and for some its never left their closet. My laced up boots I’m wearing are over 8 years old! Quality shoes with great care can last for over a decade or more…Quality over Quantity.

Yankee Hat: Eastbay.com. Fur vest: Christmas gift. Pants: Zara. Boots: too long ago. Watch: Michael Kors. Charm bracelet: Juicy Couture. Black Shirt: Forever 21. Rings: Asos.com

Style Stalker

I was doing my normal web browsing and stumbled upon these bad beauties. With a western vibe, these Jeffrey Campbell heels are gorgeous! Have you ever imagined a shoe in your head and then actually found it in the store. I know, it sounds kind of odd, but trust me..it happens. These would be the perfect heels for a sexy, fashionista witch costume..be safe this Halloween and make sure your costume is fashionable!

Hot Tamales

Today the sky was so clear and the weather was warm, but I chose not to fall for the tricks and treats of NY weather. I’ve mastered exactly how many layers to wear so I don’t break a sweat or get cold. New Yorkers know exactly what temperature is needed to wear winter accessories, no matter what month it is…and they know when to go without a coat for those warm Autumn days.  Its quite peculiar, but great because you can rock various styles and layers. Of course wearing a red dress or skirt is always sexy…its pure passion!

Very Simple but Effective Look! Skirt: Zara. Top: Zara. Belt: Gap. Shoes: Bakers.

Falling for You..

Have you ever felt like you was so very close to that very thing you’ve been wanting, but you know you have to wait for it? You know its coming for sure, but the waiting seems like forever. Its like being extremely hungry walking to your favorite eatery only to see a massive line in front of you. There’s so many things that we want for ourselves, but I learned a long time ago, giving to others actually helps you progress as well. Maybe its karma, or maybe the universe sees our goodwill, you can give a smile, great conversation, whatever it is that you have to give can make ALL the difference to someone else.  The giving season is coming up! Its my favorite time of year.

Blazer: NY & Company. Plaid shirt: JCrew. Denim jeans: Gap. Boots: Michael Kors. Sunglasses: Gap. Flower accessory: JCrew.

Heels.com: My Top Boot Picks

Its when you have every type of boot…for comfort, for play, and for the sheer essence of its beauty you then realize you are a BOOT fanatic. I admire all type of shoes, but its something about a chic lace up bootie, a dope wedge, or fur boot that immediately takes your outfit to the next level. Its the only thing that makes me look forward to the cold season (besides preppy sweaters). I’ve been a customer of Heels.com for a while now, they always have fashion forward shoes at affordable prices. The Michael Antonio boot is only $89…which its awesome because its rare to find a haute boot under $100. What’s also cool about them is that they have

My intuitive mind went into a blissful state as my eyes gazed upon this wool jumpsuit. Its color, fit, and cut is the perfect playsuit for this winter.
